EZ3PL, Inc. is a subsidiary of Derstine’s Food Service, Inc. In this policy we call ourselves EZ3PL, we, us or our. We take your privacy seriously, and this policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.ez3plonline.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.
This policy covers our website. It does not cover information you give us offline, or anything you do on a social media platform. When you contact us through Facebook, Instagram or a similar service, that platform has its own privacy policy and terms, and we have no control over them.
Your Consent and How We Use Tracking Technologies
The first time you visit our website, a banner appears asking whether you are willing to accept cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can accept them or reject them.
Until you make that choice, no analytics or other non-essential tracking runs on your visit, and nothing about you is sent to a third party. The only things that load beforehand are the parts of the site needed to display the pages, keep the site secure, and remember the answer you give us.
You can change your mind at any time. There is a privacy settings link in the footer of every page that reopens the banner and lets you update or withdraw your consent.
Rejecting cookies does not stop you from using the site. A few features that rely on outside content, such as the embedded maps on our facility pages, will not display until you accept the category they belong to.
Children's Privacy
EZ3PL complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, known as COPPA. That law stops website operators from knowingly collecting personal information from children under 13 without a parent’s permission. We do not knowingly collect that information, and we ask that anyone under 18 not send us personal information through the site.
If we find out that a user is under 13, we will not keep or use their information and we will delete it. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy and we will take care of it.
We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
What We Collect
Personal information means anything that identifies you, relates to you, or could reasonably be connected to you or your household. Here is what we collect.
Information you give us
- Your name, company name, job title, email address, phone number and mailing address.
- Details of the warehousing, transportation, distribution or dock scheduling services you ask about, including anything you enter on our quote request forms.
- If you apply for a job through our careers page, the information you choose to include in your application.
- Whatever you write to us in a contact form, an email or over the phone.
Information we collect automatically
- Your IP address, browser, operating system, device type, the site that referred you, the pages you look at, the links you click, how far you scroll, and the dates and times you visit.
- A rough idea of where you are, worked out from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location from website visitors.
Why We Use It
We use the information described above to:
- Answer your questions and put together quotes for our services.
- Run, maintain and improve the website and the services we offer.
- Review job applications.
- Send you information about our services, where you have asked to hear from us.
- Understand how people use the site so we can make it work better.
- Spot and stop fraud, security problems and other misuse.
- Meet our legal obligations, and defend ourselves if a legal claim is brought.
We do not use sensitive personal information to work out characteristics about you, and we do not use or disclose it for any purpose beyond what the law allows.
Cookies, Pixels, Web Beacons and IP Addresses
A cookie is a small text file a website saves on your device. Pixels, web beacons and clear GIFs are small pieces of code inside a page or an email that let a website record that the page or email was opened. We refer to all of these as tracking technologies.
We group them into three categories.
Strictly necessary
These make the site work, keep it secure, and remember the consent choice you made. They run at all times and cannot be switched off. They include our firewall, our page caching system, and the cookie that stores your cookie preferences.
Analytics
These tell us how people find the site, which pages they read, and where they run into trouble. They do not run until you accept them.
Functional
These power extras like the embedded maps of our facilities. They do not run until you accept them.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. That is separate from the choice you make on our banner, and blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working properly.
Who Receives Information From This Website
The companies below may receive information about your visit, including your IP address and the pages you view. Apart from the ones marked strictly necessary, none of them are allowed to load until you have accepted the relevant category.

Typefaces used in the site design are hosted on our own servers rather than loaded from an outside provider, so visiting our site does not disclose your visit to a font service.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. It records things like which pages you open, how long you stay, which site sent you to us, a shortened version of your IP address, and interactions such as clicking a link or scrolling down a page.
Google Analytics does not load until you have accepted analytics on our banner. Until then, no analytics script runs and no data is sent to Google.
We have turned on IP anonymization in Google Analytics. We do not allow Google to combine what it collects here with other data for its own purposes.
Advertising and Remarketing
We do not currently run advertising pixels or remarketing technologies on this website. If we add them in future, they will be blocked until you accept advertising on our consent banner, and this policy will be updated to describe them.

Your California Privacy Rights
This section is for people who live in California. It is required by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, which together we call the CCPA.
What we collect and who we give it to
In the twelve months before the date at the top of this policy, we collected these categories of personal information, using the CCPA’s own labels:
- Identifiers, such as your name, postal address, email address, phone number and IP address.
- Information covered by California’s customer records law, such as your name, address and phone number.
- Commercial information, meaning records of the services you asked about or requested.
- Internet activity, meaning how you moved around our website and what you interacted with.
- Geolocation data, limited to the approximate area worked out from your IP address.
- Professional or employment information, if you apply for a job with us.
We get this information directly from you, automatically from your device as you browse, and from the analytics provider named in the table above.
We pass it to the service providers listed in this policy, which include our website host, our analytics provider, our form and email providers, and our professional advisors. They are only allowed to use it to do that work for us. We may also hand over information if the law requires it, or if we need to protect our legal rights.
Selling and sharing
EZ3PL does not sell personal information for money. That said, the CCPA defines selling and sharing very broadly, and using third party analytics cookies can count as a sale or a share under those definitions even when no money changes hands.
Because none of those technologies run on our site unless you accept them first, and because you can withdraw that acceptance whenever you like, you are able to prevent any sale or sharing before it happens.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can do that in any of these ways:
- Choose Deny on the banner that appears when you first arrive.
- Use the privacy settings link in the footer of any page, at any time, to withdraw consent you have already given.
- Turn on a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser. We pick that up automatically, as described further down.
- Contact us using the details at the end of this policy.
What you can ask us to do
Subject to a few exceptions in the law, if you live in California you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we gave it to.
- Give you a copy of the specific information we hold about you.
- Delete the information we collected from you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Stop selling or sharing your information.
- Limit how we use and disclose sensitive personal information.
We will never treat you differently or refuse you service because you exercised any of these rights.
How to make a request
Email us at IT@derstines.com or call 267-354-2696. We need to confirm who you are before we can respond, which usually means asking you to verify details we already hold. We will reply within 45 days, and we will let you know if we need another 45.
Someone else can make a request for you. We may ask them to prove they are authorized to act on your behalf, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.
California Invasion of Privacy Act
The California Invasion of Privacy Act, known as CIPA, limits the recording or interception of communications without everyone’s consent. Some website technologies, such as analytics scripts, advertising pixels, session recording tools and chat widgets, can be seen as recording your interactions with a site.
So that there is no confusion about what we do:
- We do not use session recording, session replay, keystroke logging, mouse tracking or heat mapping on this website.
- We do not run a live chat feature on this website.
- The analytics we do use are listed in this policy, and none of them run before you give consent.
- When you choose Accept, you are consenting to the technologies in the categories you accepted, including sending information about your visit to the companies named above.
If you would rather not, choose Deny. You can carry on using the site, and the technologies you turned down will not run.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers have a Do Not Track setting. The industry never agreed on what websites should do when they see it, so we do not respond to it.
We do respond to Global Privacy Control, usually shortened to GPC. GPC is a browser setting or extension that tells every site you visit that you want to opt out of the sale and sharing of your information. When we detect it, we treat it as a valid opt-out for that browser and device, and non-essential tracking will not run. There is more information at globalprivacycontrol.org
Privacy Rights in Other States
People in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia have rights under their own state laws that are broadly similar to the California rights above. In most cases these include the right to see, correct and delete your information, to get a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of your information.
If you live in one of these states, contact us using the details at the end of this policy and tell us which state you are in. If we turn your request down, you may have the right to appeal, and we will explain how to do that in our reply.
Marketing Emails
If you get marketing email from us and no longer want it, click the unsubscribe link in any message or contact us and we will take you off the list. We may still need to send you messages about a service you have specifically asked for.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the reason we collected it, and after that for as long as we have to for tax, accounting and legal record keeping, or to deal with a legal claim. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we delete it or remove anything that could identify you.
Analytics data is held by Google under the retention setting applied to our account, and consent records are kept for as long as we need them to show that a choice was made.

How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. The site runs over an encrypted connection and sits behind a web application firewall.
No system is completely secure, though, and we cannot promise that information sent over the internet will always be safe.
Links to Other Sites
Our site links to websites run by other companies and embeds content hosted by them. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for what they do with your information. It is worth reading the privacy policy of any site you land on from a link here.
Visitors Outside the United States
We run this website from the United States and it is meant for people here. If you visit from another country, your information will be sent to and stored in the United States, where the privacy laws may be different from the ones you are used to. By using the site you agree to that.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do pass it on in these situations:
- To service providers who do work for us, such as website hosting, analytics, email delivery and form processing. They can only use it to do that work.
- To companies in our group, including Derstine’s Food Service, Inc., where that is needed for the purposes described here.
- Where the law, a court order or a subpoena requires it, or where we believe we need to in order to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
- If our business is sold, merged or refinanced, in which case personal information may be part of what transfers.
Seeing and Correcting Your Information
If you want to see, correct, update or delete personal information you have given us, contact us using the details below and we will handle it as described in this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy from time to time as our practices change or the law changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top. If the change is a significant one, we will say so more prominently on the site. It is worth checking back now and then.
